What happens during the free consultation?
You and your spouse meet with Joe on Zoom for 45 minutes. You’ll learn how mediation works, get your questions answered, and decide together whether it’s a good fit.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. There is no cost and no obligation.
Do we both need to attend?
Yes. Both spouses attend the 45-minute consultation together, so you both hear the same information and can ask your own questions.
What happens after I submit the form?
You’ll go straight to a booking calendar to choose your time, and you’ll receive a confirmation and reminders once you book. Depending on your answers, we may recommend starting with a free 15-minute information call instead.
How does the mediation process work?
Joe guides you both through each decision, including parenting, support, and the division of assets and debts. The overall process typically takes 3 to 6 months.
How much does mediation cost?
Our flat fees typically range from $4,700 to $7,900, depending on factors such as children, financial complexity, and your state. There are no hourly mediation charges, and your specific flat fee is provided after your consultation.
Do we need to have everything figured out first?
No. Joe explains your options and guides you both through each decision.
Where does Equitable Mediation provide services?
We serve couples in California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington State. Sessions take place via Zoom.
